Tegan Moved to the NSCU and Mommy got to Visit

Early this evening, Tegan was moved from the NICU to the NSCU (neonatal special care unit). We were all very excited that she is doing so well. Michelle was thrilled to get to visit her in the NSCU for about 30 mins at 8:00pm. Here are some pics of a sweet baby girl and her proud mommy!

More Pictures!!!

Tegan is doing GREAT in the NICU according to her nurse. She is breathing on her own and never had to be put on a ventilator. She will probably move to a different crib tonight to try to let her regulate her own temperature. Here are some more pics!

Tegan Alexandria is HERE!!!

Tegan Alexandria arrived at 11:32am. We don't know her weight yet. But, she was breathing and crying. They took her to the NICU because she is very small, but Michelle did get to hold her before she left.

Big Change!

8:30am Update

Michelle was having semi-regular contractions (even though she couldn't feel them). The doctor decided that they would break her water, but they let her have the epidural first (at 8:02am). Her contractions started getting harder, but she still couldn't feel them. The doctor just came in an broke her water.

In the Hospital

Michelle wasn't feeling well tonight so Mom took her to the fire station to have her blood pressure checked. After getting a result of 184 over 122, they left (after signing a waiver saying that she was refusing the ambulance service to the hospital). Mom and Michelle drove to the hospital and got there around 9:00pm.

After some blood work and urine tests and blood pressure checks, it was decided around 12:20am that Tegan would be induced tonight (I guess Michelle is actually being induced). Anyway, Taylor and I joined Mom and Michelle around 1:15am. She was just finishing a concentrated dose of Magnesium and was feeling very sick.

It is now 2:30am and they just started the Pitocin. Michelle is doing good and we hope she can get some sleep before the contractions really start.
